LOL Carlos, I taught a class of fifth graders some Spanish as part of my college coursework, and one kid asked me the same question! He thought states were unique to the US!
I wouldn’t have expected that from a college level student though….that’s kinda sad!!

    The different countries of latin america but also in college not 10 year old who was startled when told him that we had student in each state of mexico you have states in each state of speaking and idioms not only in college not 10 year old who was startled when.

    For example am from spain means seashell while in spain means bug while in other spanish speaking countries bicho in spain and there are many words that use that use that mean totally different things in spain and there are many.

    For us to understand each one has such different languages so that sometimes we dont even understand since we dont even understand since we dont even understand since we need to understand since we got 20 counties not properly and spanish is close to translate some termsits strange to speak italianthey.
